With less than 52 days until Election Day we have many great opportunities for you to participate and volunteer. It goes without saying that we have a lot of work to do. Jack Finney Blvd. Gloria Campos, formerly an anchor with WFAA Ch. 8 in Dallas will be our keynote speaker. Representative John Bryant of Dallas will be speaking also. Come out for an inspiring and invigorating evening with our Judicial candidates running for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, also Kristen Washington, Sandeep Srivastava, Rachel Mello, George King and others have been invited to speak. Jack Finney Blvd.  _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, Sept. 17, North Texas Giving Day. This day is set aside to reward non-profits for their hard work. My favorite non-profit is our Hunt County Democratic Party. I want to encourage you to use the ‘Chip In’ link near the bottom of this page to become a sustaining member or one time donor to HCDP. Your donation will be used to further our efforts and support our candidates. Our Executive Committee is very careful to be good stewards of the hard-earned money you donate. When you give to HCDP your money is spent locally, not in D.C. or in another part of the country. Thank you for supporting the Hunt County Democratic Party. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, Sept. 17, National Voter Registration Day. We will be participating in voter registration at TAMUC in Commerce. VDR’s: This is an excellent opportunity to setup outside a local store or just call your Democrat friends and family to be sure they are registered. Also, be sure to ask folks if they have moved recently and need to update their address. Wear your favorite candidate shirt and come stroll around downtown Commerce for great music, food and vendors. (And we could use some volunteers and VDRs to man the booth.) This year, for the first time, you may Early Vote at either location (only Early Vote). If you’re on your way home from Dallas, you may stop in Caddo Mills and vote. On Election Day you will vote in your Primary.
