DEMOCRATS!

DO NOT VOTE IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY

Early voting begins February 17-27, 2026

March 3, 2026, Primary Election Day

Here is the vital Texas rule every voter must know: Texas has no party registration. Your party affiliation is decided by which primary you vote in.

When you arrive at your polling place, you will be asked to choose a ballot. If you sign for a Republican ballot, you are legally affiliating with the GOP for this election cycle—even though you don’t consider yourself a Republican.

Choosing the Republican primary has serious consequences for Democrats:

You forfeit your ability to be a Precinct Chair or a Democratic election worker.

You cannot vote in a Democratic runoff or participate in our County and State Conventions.

You lose your voice in setting our party’s platform and electing its leaders.

Protect your Democratic voice.

Why Your Vote in the Democratic Primary Matters

We know voting matters. But voting in the Democratic Primary is the essential first step for our success in the General Election.

1. Your Vote Strengthens Our Party

Voting in our primary keeps you eligible to fully participate in building the party we need. From becoming a Precinct Chair to helping shape our platform at the State Convention, your primary vote is your ticket to having a direct say in our future.

2. Your Vote Sends a Powerful Message

Donors, organizers, and activists watch primary turnout as the key indicator of a party’s energy and viability. High Democratic turnout in Hunt County sends a ripple through state and national organizations, proving our county is a top battleground and attracting essential resources to help us win.

3. Your Vote Inspires Your Community

Maybe your vote encourages a neighbor. Maybe someone you didn’t expect participates because they saw you do it. A strong primary turnout creates momentum and shows that our community is engaged and ready for change.
