Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) training.
If you served as a VDR in the past, your commission has expired, or if you desire to serve now, there will be classes held once a month for the remainder of the year. The Election Administration office will conduct classes on Thursday, March 6 and Thursday, April 3. Classes start promptly at 9:00am and end around 10:30am. You must pre-register by emailing Rachel Pearson at [email protected]
or call 903-454-5467. With all the folks moving into Hunt County this is a very important duty.
Voting in Texas
The Secretary of State manages voting and elections in Texas. Unlike many states, Texas does not allow same-day voter registration and you cannot register by party.
You may visit the Secretary of State’s website or the Texas Democratic Party’s My Texas Votes tool to check your voter registration status, register to vote, and learn what you’ll need on election day.
